Default guild

Create default guilds for both towns, called simply Aresden and Elvine, to which players of both cities are included automatically when they don't have a guild.

These guilds will have the following characteristics:

  • unlimited huntmaster 2 and raidmaster 2 ranks, no captains and no guildmaster
  •  Sharing map disabled without the possibility of enabling it
  • default guild wh 3 upgrade
  • default veteran status for all members
  • donations, teleports and guild upgrades disabled

As I said, both joining and leaving these guilds will be automatic so no tickets are required. Once you join another guild you will be automatically kicked from the default one.

The reasoning behind this is to let beginners understand how ranks work in oly and help them find other players to hunt with.

I think this is a good idea, but I think HM/RM 1 or none at all would be better. Should just be a springboard for a new player to try the game out and join an actual guild.

This is Reise's post from discord (last year)

Guess ill throw this out there again since im seeing a influx of new players

IDEA:
Whenever you select your town from the beginner zone you are put into a Default Aresden or Elvine Guild.
You can leave this guild at anytime and be guildless but any new character is put into it by default.
This would also be accompanied by explanation page of guild features like hunt and raid master etc.
This would also come with unlimited level 1 HM & RM.
No captains.

I keep suggesting this because sometimes i see a influx of new players talking in global and coming to the forums asking beginner questions or trying to find people to play with. The current player base of olympia is a long time player majority and alot of players dont want to take the time to explain this or take them into guild since new players asking questions or tagging along for hunts or pvp can be a hindrance. Atleast with this feature it will automatically lump the new players together and they can atleast team up or maybe there could be some sort of mentor system where there is an incentive to help them.

But the fact remains that alot of new players get frustrated when they get shit stomped on raid days and no one answers there questions so something like this would be far better then what we currently have

Sure, agreed. Unlimited HM1/RM1 is fair.
Yes I know it's reise's, it was being discussed and I uploaded the idea so we could vote on it.
