2 cents about city balance, spies and some ideas about it
The daily debate about city balance is distorted, specially because this server is so old that lots of people has access to hunter characters in both towns. This permanent switching is in fact so normal that is timezone related, and by that i mean that now there are lots of elvs that i didn't see log in a while, just when LMF guild is back in cyan shades.
Yesterday at Dc as well: lots of TKB guild (i thought that shit died), 140 no rb guildmasters of whateverthefuck guild..its kind of insulting for the people who's standing their ground and so much for the people who keeps switching for helping balance. And its a punish to the map-winner-city to erase items that some spy got like that dusa neck a few months ago. That's also an extra job for whoever has to check the players' "authenticity". And if no one makes a complain cause that player doesn't look like a spy, it'll pass as its been happening on almost every druncnian massive party.
I think that, in some ways, the game is encouraging all those things to happen. It kinda feels like keep playing in 640x480 resolution while everybody plays 800x600 just to keep the traditions.
So to get to the point, if locking login between cities isn't a thing, i'd like to propose that if an IP logs in a different town, it should have its drop rate significantly reduced for 8/16/24 hs.
I dont think you understand the way it works. The cooldown on city swap and free transfer would allow people to play together and make the decision when the balance is getting out of hand as it is for now.
the current “system” of buy ticket to move is clearly not working and will never work as the times have shown. Also it takes way too much time to discuss or ask some “guildmasters” to make the vote to move the guild yada yada yada.
You mean it locks for the entire server and not per person? So basically every week - everyone has 1 moment to change oe not - and after that - the towns are fixed for a week?
