1v1 & 2v2 dungeons with mobs

Corrupted dungeons in AO is very nice and could be cool in HB.

Basically random portals opens up around the world, once you enter you get ported to a map with monsters, if another person enters another portal theres a chance he'll get ported into the same map. Once you cleared enough mobs a boss/chest will spawn. Can only be two people in one dungeon. Once you killed ur enemy that ported into ur dungeon or if u port into his, no one else can enter it, so you are free to clear the map. This would be great for people that enjoys hunting but also smaller scale pvp and more fair fights.

Amazing idea, 2-4 members would be nice, i love small fights!

This idea needs some more detail, balancing and fleshing out. This is not just in response to the OP (no offense vomk) but to everyone posting an idea bigger than a small adjustment to an existing game mechanic. Posting an idea like this without more detail puts all the work on Cleroth to figure out and balance, and probably makes it less likely it will be implemented.


A few thoughts on this particular idea:


1. I would venture to say 99% of people dislike the idea of 1v1 pvp (think D2 pvp). Either a stomp or a 2 hour armor break snoozer. 

2. What mobs would be hunted? Does it progress from easy to harder (elite boss?)


3. Which mobs are worth hunting (drop rate/loot table) and could be killed by the majority of players - not just mages and ss/pd, fencing 

4. What kind of drop rate would the mobs have? Normal or increased?

5. What kind of rewards are suitable for winning/completing the dungeon? ML/T3 Gold chest drops? Contribution?

6. What happens if all players inside die? Does the portal close? Does it stay open for a set amount of time and close/kick out players if not completed in the time frame? Or does it stay open until complete?

Gonna stop there but I think I made my point.

Theres no way I could say what droprate or monsters it would have for it to be balanced, I think no player can do that. Yeah I agree I could be more specific but this is a very big change, if Cleroth likes the idea he could probably come up with ways to improve it and decide whats balanced and what isnt. Would probably need some testing too. Yeah 2v2s would probably be better, I just think promoting smaller scale fights is a very good idea for HB. I also linked how it works in Albion Online, I dont know if it could work in HB and I dont know how hard or how long it would take to implement, its just something I wish HB had because that content in AO is super fun.
