Tank talent reworked

Avatar
  • updated

Current tank specs:

  • Increase aggro on monsters
  • +15 Vitality
  • +1 Vitality every 20 levels
  • +30% HP Recovery
  • +25% chance to reduce Paralyzed duration by 1 second when hit
  • -8% chance of being stunned by physical attacks
  • +7% Physical Absorption when directly facing your opponent with a shield
  • +7% Magical Absorption when directly facing your opponent with a shield

New tank specs (instead of all the old ones):

  • +2 damage to monsters (+4 with criticals)
  • +1 Vitality and +1 Dexterity every 10 levels
  • +20% HP Recovery
  • Health potions heal +20% more
  • 25% chance of a HP regen equal to Vitality when critically wounded (less than 10% HP left)

Reasoning:

Nowadays the tank talent is rarely used because its benefits are complex, marginal and even redundant with themselves, and although they're so many, they don't accomplish much. Also they don't offer any noticeable pvp benefits (lack of burst and hr passives being the main suspects)

So I chose to make them a little more straightforward while trying to respect the nature of the talent, which I think is to create a sturdy hard-to-kill character. The old (current) format I think it's pretty much like the poison ss/fencers around so it loses much of its charm when compared to them. Now this adjusted setup would be much more interesting to the high str raiders because it gives them real hunting benefits while adding powerful pvp abilities. Mages can undoubtedly also benefit from this new config (while the old one gives them no benefit at all).

    Awesome suggestion! 🙌

With the old tank talent you lose a lot of benefits if u don't play with a shield equipped. With the changes proposed, you can go tank with different talents. I like it

I totally disagree there's already a lot of Invincible players in the game and you want to create one more. actually you want to take what is already invincible and make God. I think we should be more concerned with the evolution of the game and not small settings.

this type of configuration can bring disharmonies in the game.

There are many players who are quite true that they have good sets but It depends a lot on the character setup.

Some (Oris, Reise for example) join at d4 and 20 players hardly kill them. Its 10 min more of figth.

I'm curious about what you believe will make players "gods" from the benefits I listed. Could you elaborate?

Also, people like oris or reise are very hard to kill because they have 10k+ coins bags. It's the progressive nature of a permanent server like this. It has nothing to do with talents themselves, really.

look ur suggestion. Noone penalty. Only bonus to critical damage, tô recover Hp. More vit and dex. Noone needs a university degree tô knows what going to happen.

Current tank talent gives 22 vit points at 140. My new spec gives 14 (30% less)

Current tank talent gives 30% hp regen. I give 20 (so 33% less)

Current tank talent gives 7% extra pa and ma. I give zero.

So I'd say those are pretty big downsides of the new config regarding the new one.

I added dex because the talent having zero hr bonus makes it pretty much unplayable for stat hungry builds so dex gives moderate dr+hr which is enticing. And I say moderate cause 14 dex is less than a full angel (+16)
