Enemy Kill Assist

Add an EK support that could be counted towards total EKs. Currently there are alot of "support" builds but they rarely are able to land an EK.

Add some sort of system to get an assist if you do any sort of supportive damage/para/etc to the enemy that dies or any supportive spells to the person that does the killing blow to the enemy such as haste etc.

This would add more of an incentive to players to work together instead of just blasting everything at the enemy in hopes of landing an EK and also support builds will feel like they are getting something from PVP also

Nice idea!

3 assists : 1 EK.

Or 5 assists : 1 EK.

IMO, instead of adding "assists", EKs could use the exact same logic as bag drops when in party. Since most EKs are a team effort anyways, the EK could be randomly awarded to any party member on-screen. This seems like the easiest implementation, since the logic for RNG logic for a party already exists. Support chars could be rewarded (finally), and teamwork would be encouraged.

That's a horrible idea. Eks should remain to those who last hit. But adding assists makes sense.

Since you provide no rationale, I'd consider "horrible idea" to be 100% opinion, and therefore no more valid than mine. Why shouldn't bag drop go to the person with last hit? By doing it "your way", you 100% guarantee that support chars will get no EK. The support char in many cases keeps you alive with AMP, makes the Para/DS/SpikeField, and basically serves the EK to the warrior on a silver platter. But all the reward goes to hack-o-matic 100% of the time? Makes very little sense to me. There are over 1000 EKs per day -- far more than there are rare drops. So why should rare drops be treated so much more cavalierly? EKs are not so rare or precious, IMO, that they couldn't be more equally shared among any/all the people that made it happen. Plus I'm thinking from an implementation standpoint. My suggestion is dead simple, and could happen in a day if someone wanted it to be. The other method would take much more thought, design, coding, testing, etc. We'd be lucky to see it inside of a couple of years.

Without assist system, new players got little to none chances to get EK.

So that’s great input indeed

Here is my rationale.

Holy support combo is an example where they do have kill potential.

I am just not sure why you consider the support mage a class which should have the same opportunity to ek as a xelima war/mage.

The whole point of playing a support mage is to "support" with a reduced ability to ek at the benefit of having high survivability. I think you are comparing a support mage role to a 200 vit poison tanker? (Which we all know already is a broken spec)

I called your idea of assigning eks to random party members horrible, can you imagine being in a mass party and you get an ek when you didn't even hit the person.

Like I said, I think an EK assist would be a great addition, but not free handouts. Don't expect to play a 200vit low int, high dex support mage and want the same opportunity at EK. There are xelima builds for that reason.

So a player gets the ek and the "support", a portion of it...so people will be getting 1.2 ek count in total from a single kill, its a madness. Terrible idea. HB has been always like this, last hit gets the ek and we have always enjoyed that way

So players without items would get eks for only cast ds, dt, etc, (even with bs gear) while everyone had to farm in order to get decent items to do eks. Terrible idea, this is not LoL

There really is no negative aspect from giving supporting players EK assists. Nothing will change other than the fact that this might bring more support players to do more pvp for a chance to gain eks/assists.  Focus on the bigger picture and not be so selfish.

10 assists = 1ek ,would be good rate, and assists come from every dmg u do to target or/if u haste etc the player who gets the EK. i dunno how hard this kind of thing is add to this game but i still think its able make. this is still best idea i have seen in my 2years on/off playing. have thought this myself too couple of times because of HoN playing 10k+ matches and olympia nowadays reminds me of moba games.
